Impact work demands sockets engineered to withstand the cyclic shock loads generated by electric and pneumatic impact wrenches — standard chrome vanadium sockets are not rated for this duty. The Draper HI-TORQ® 15-piece metric impact socket set provides a purpose-built solution for professional workshop and automotive use. Each socket in the set is forged from hardened chrome molybdenum steel and carries a black phosphate finish for corrosion protection. The 6-point socket geometry maximises contact area on fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding under high-torque impact loads. The set covers 14 metric sizes — 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24 and 27mm — accommodating the broad range of fastener sizes encountered in automotive, heavy vehicle and general workshop applications. A 3/8" (F) x 1/2" (M) socket converter is also included, extending compatibility with 3/8" drive tooling. All sockets operate on a 1/2" square drive and are presented in a pre-formed EVA drawer insert tray measuring 168 x 270 x 30mm. The tray is designed to fit Draper and Draper Expert tool chests, and is also compatible with other manufacturers' similar products, keeping the set organised and immediately accessible in a workshop environment.
