Working in environments with dust and welding particulates demands more than eye protection alone the Sealey PWH616 combines an auto darkening welding helmet with a TH2-rated Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) in a single system. The lithium battery-powered blower unit delivers a constant filtered stream of air to your head and face for up to approximately 8 hours on a single charge (approximately 2.5 hours to recharge), with adjustable airflow at 150, 180, or 210 litres per minute. The filter meets performance class TH2 (less than 10% inward leakage) per EN 12941:1998/A2:2008, and is designed to reduce or remove dust and particles though not vapours or gases. An audible low battery and low airflow alarm keeps you informed. The welding helmet features automatic arc switching at 1/25,000s, variable shade 9-13 for welding and switchable 5-8 for gas welding and cutting, and solar panel power supply. A 98 x 62mm viewing area, internal safety visor (BS EN 166), and adjustable headband complete the package. Complies with BS EN 379, EN 175, EN 166, EN 12941, and DIN standards.
