Removing cotter pins, O-rings, springs and washers calls for precise, compact tooling that can reach into confined spaces without damaging surrounding components. The Draper 9042 Mini Hook and Pick Set is designed specifically for these tasks, providing four dedicated blade profiles in a single 165 mm set. Each blade is manufactured from hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel with a polished finish, combining durability with resistance to corrosion. The shaft features a knurled ring that provides extra grip and precision during use, whilst the soft grip handle reduces hand fatigue during extended work. A hang hole is incorporated into each handle for convenient workshop storage. The set contains four pieces: an awl, a clevis, a V hook and an L hook, covering the range of profiles most commonly required when working with retaining hardware. Overall tool length is 165 mm and blade diameter is 3.5 mm throughout the set, giving a consistent feel across all four pieces. The combination of chrome vanadium steel construction, knurled grip shaft and ergonomic soft grip handle makes this set a practical choice for automotive technicians and workshop professionals who regularly handle small retaining components.
