Cutting copper, aluminium, and thin-walled steel tube to precise lengths demands a tool that can be operated cleanly with one hand, even in confined spaces. The KNIPEX TubiX® Pipe Cutter addresses this with its QuickLock one-hand locking mechanism, which allows independent holding and clamping on the tube, so the user can push the tool to size and secure it without assistance. Easy one-handed pushing enables quick adjustment across different tube sizes without interrupting workflow. The cutting action is made comfortable by high-quality needle bearings fitted to both the cutting wheel and the guide rolls, reducing the effort required to score through the tube wall. The cutting wheel itself is made from high-grade ball-bearing steel, and when replacement becomes necessary, the wheel can be swapped without any tools — a spare cutting wheel is stored directly in the handle. A removable, precision-ground deburring tool is also included, allowing the cut end to be cleaned up immediately after cutting. The tool cuts pipes from 6 mm to 35 mm in diameter (1/4" to 1 3/8") with a wall thickness of up to 2 mm. Its capability extends beyond plumbing applications: the KNIPEX TubiX® is also suitable for cutting rigid steel conduits, making it a practical choice for electrical installation work. The overall tool length is 180 mm. Supplied on a self-service card/blister, containing one KNIPEX 90 31 02 SB TubiX® Pipe Cutter.
