Professional workshops demand impact sockets that withstand the sustained torque output of air, electric and manual impact wrenches without cracking or deforming. The Draper HI-TORQ® Impact Socket addresses this by combining a 6-point socket geometry with a forging process that produces a robust, precise drive form capable of resisting the shock loading inherent to impact tool use. Forged from chrome vanadium steel and then hardened and tempered, the socket achieves the mechanical strength required for demanding fastener removal and installation tasks. A chemical blacking treatment is applied as a final stage to provide corrosion protection, helping to maintain the integrity of the tool in workshop environments where moisture and contamination are common. This socket is designed for a 1/2-inch square drive and sized at 17mm across the hex, making it suitable for a broad range of automotive and industrial fastener applications. The 6-point contact pattern distributes load evenly across the fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding under high-torque conditions. The Draper HI-TORQ® designation identifies this as part of Draper Tools Ltd's registered trademark impact socket range, produced to expert quality standards.
Expert Quality, 6 point socket forged from chrome vanadium steel hardened, tempered and chemically blacked for corrosion protection. These socket are for use with air, electric or manual impact wrenches.
