The Draper HI-TORQ® Deep Impact Socket (5146) is forged from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, providing the toughness and resilience required for use with electric or pneumatic impact wrenches operating on a 1" square drive. The socket features a 6-point profile, which maximises contact with fastener flats and reduces the risk of rounding under load — a key consideration when working with stubborn or heavily torqued fasteners. The deep-reach design allows the socket to seat fully over extended or recessed fasteners such as wheel studs and long bolts commonly encountered in commercial vehicle, agricultural, and heavy industrial applications. A black phosphate finish is applied to the external surface, offering corrosion protection during storage and workshop use. Each socket is supplied complete with a ring and pin retaining system, securing the socket to the impact wrench drive and preventing unintended detachment during operation.
