When a 315 series cooling system pressure test pump is already part of a workshop's tooling inventory, the inability to use 318 series caps or 319 cooling plugs with that pump creates a compatibility gap that limits the range of vehicles and systems that can be tested. The Sykes Pickavant 03176870 Converter is the purpose-built solution, bridging the connection between these two series so that technicians can extend the usefulness of existing equipment without investing in an entirely new pump.
The converter functions as an interface adaptor, allowing 318 series caps and 319 cooling plugs to be connected directly to the 315 series pump. This eliminates the need to maintain duplicate pump units across different cap series, streamlining the cooling system pressure testing process.
The unit is compact and lightweight, measuring 30 x 16 x 16 mm and weighing just 0.05 kg, making it straightforward to store alongside existing 315 series tooling.
This converter is designed specifically for use within the Sykes Pickavant cooling system pressure testing range, providing compatibility between the 318 series caps and 319 cooling plugs and the 315 series pump.
For workshops already equipped with a 315 series pump, this converter maximises the return on that investment by unlocking compatibility with the broader 318 and 319 series accessories.
