Changing oil via the drain plug is not always practical on many modern vehicles, particularly those from BMW and VW, extraction via the dipstick tube is the preferred or only accessible method. The Sealey AK459DX addresses this with a 90L steel fabricated reservoir and a venturi suction pump system that powers quick-release oil dipstick probes, allowing oil to be drawn directly from the sump without getting underneath the vehicle. The kit includes three flexible probes (5 x 700mm, 6 x 700mm, and 8 x 700mm), one copper tube probe (6 x 700mm), and two specialised connectors for VW and BMW vehicles. For conventional drain plug jobs, the height-adjustable steel drain pan with grid filter and gravity feed remains available, with a pan height range of 1300mm to 1850mm. Air discharge is via a 1/4" air inlet at 0.5 bar discharge pressure, with a maximum inlet pressure of 6-8 bar. A reservoir oil level indicator tube and heavy-duty wheels and castors round out a package built for productive, mobile workshop use. The 11L collection bowl provides initial capture ahead of the 90L reservoir.
