Control and comfort during use are supported by a wider neck, which aids accuracy, and a double-injected shaft reinforced with fibreglass for additional rigidity. The handle features a non-slip grip that assists in maintaining positive control whilst also helping to reduce vibration transmitted to the user during repeated use. The maul is manufactured generally in accordance with BS 876, the relevant British Standard for hammers and mallets. Weighing 2.7 kg (6 lb), it is suited to demanding splitting, driving and demolition applications where a robust, well-balanced striking tool is required.
