The Sykes Pickavant GO470 Glowplug Removal Kit – Master is a modular system for safely removing stuck or broken glow plugs and restoring threads for new plug installation. The master kit includes a basic kit plus dedicated modules for M8 x 1.0, M9 x 1.0, M10 x 1.0 and M10 x 1.25 glow plugs, covering a wide range of engines from manufacturers such as Mercedes, Smart, VW, Fiat, Opel, Ford, Audi, Toyota, Suzuki and others, as listed in the applications. Special sockets and milling cutters enable controlled breaking and removal of the central electrode, while sliding rods, extensions and a slide hammer help extract remaining parts from the seat. Thread repair tools then restore the glow plug bore so that new plugs can be correctly fitted. The kit is designed to minimise the need for cylinder head removal, saving workshop time and cost. Neatly organised in a strong storage case, GO470 is ideal for diesel specialists and general workshops dealing with carbon-bound glow plugs.
