A flat battery leaves a vehicle immobile at the worst possible moment, and poor-quality jump leads can fail to deliver enough current to start the engine or overheat under load. The Sealey BC1630 Booster Cables are built to handle the demands of battery jump starting with a 16mm² cable section and a rated capacity of 220A, giving a confident power transfer from donor to recipient vehicle. The cables measure 3 metres in length, providing enough reach to position two vehicles safely. The cable itself is PVC sheathed copper coated aluminium, which gives maximum power transfer while remaining flexible and easy to handle. The construction is resistant to oil, grease, and most acids, making these leads suitable for use in the workshop as well as at the roadside. The insulated, oversized clamps feature strong return springs that help reduce the heating effect caused by power transfer, and they grip battery terminals securely. The leads are supplied in a reusable nylon bag complete with operating guidelines.
