A flat battery can bring an entire fleet to a standstill, and fumbling with inadequate charging equipment wastes valuable workshop time. The Sealey SUPERBOOST140 is a combination battery starter and charger designed to handle both tasks from a single 230V unit. It delivers a peak starting output of 140A (110A EN) and a peak charge output of 21A (14A EN), covering a battery range of 15-240Ah across 12V and 24V systems making it suitable for fleet operators running cars and van derivatives. Three charging rates allow the operator to match the charge to the battery condition and type. An easy-to-read ammeter and illuminated power switch make operation straightforward, while built-in polarity protection provided by a 50A panel-mounted fuse guards the circuitry against incorrect connection. Cable and clamp length is 2m. The unit draws 2.7A during charging and 11A during starting from a standard 230V supply. Replacement fuses are available as part number 120/802309 (sold in a pack of 20).
