Maintaining healthy battery charge across a workshop fleet demands a charger that can handle varying battery chemistries and output requirements without manual guesswork. The Draper 70548 12/24V Battery Charger addresses this by combining microprocessor control with selectable charging currents, removing the risk of overcharging and allowing the operator to match output precisely to the battery under charge. The charger accepts lead-acid, Gel, AGM and MF battery types, operating at either 12V or 24V. At 12V the selectable charging currents are 2A, 5A, 8A and 16A; at 24V the available settings are 2A, 5A and 8A. Input is 230V at 13A. A large, easy-to-read LCD screen and a mode selection control panel give clear operational feedback, while polarity protection guards against incorrect connection. Two USB ports — rated at 1.0A and 2.4A respectively — provide additional charging capability for ancillary devices.Practical workshop considerations are addressed throughout the design. Onboard power cord storage keeps the work area tidy, a dedicated clamp holder secures the charging leads when not in use, and heavy-duty carry handles make the unit straightforward to move between vehicles or bays. The rugged housing protects the internal microprocessor against the demands of a working workshop environment.Physical dimensions are 305 x 195 x 110mm and the unit weighs 2.1kg, making it compact enough for bench or shelf storage. The package contains one 12/24V Battery Charger.
Microprocessor controlled battery charger suitable for lead-acid, Gel, AGM and MF batteries. Fitted with a large easy to read LCD screen and a mode selection control panel, polarity protection, onboard power cord storage, clamp holder and 2 x USB ports. The rugged housing helps protect the internal microprocessor and is fitted with heavy duty carry handles.
