When drilling accuracy, operator safety, and long service life all matter, the Sealey PDM240F floor-standing pillar drill is built to meet the demand. Its heavy-duty aluminium-bodied motor is designed for long and reliable performance, while a comprehensive set of safety features make it suitable for professional workshops and approved for use in educational establishments. The no-voltage release switch prevents inadvertent start-up after a power interruption, and the pulley cover is protected by a microswitch so the drill cannot operate with the cover open. An electrically interlocked chuck guard is included as standard. The large square table features precision rack and pinion height adjustment, and an integral work light illuminates the drilling area for a clear view during operation (60W E27 bulb not included). Chuck capacity is 20mm (3/4") MT3, with 16 speeds ranging from 160-3000rpm. Motor power is 750W (1000W start). Spindle centre to column is 216mm wider reach than many comparable models. Overall height is 1635mm; base size is 495 x 290mm. Maximum spindle to table distance is 720mm and spindle to base is 1230mm. Column diameter is 80mm. The optional PDM/KC keyless 16mm chuck is available separately. Backed by a 3-year guarantee.
