The Sealey GDM180B bench pillar drill delivers exactly that, standing 1085mm tall with a 750W input power and a 550W motor driving 16 speeds across a 120-3000rpm range giving you the flexibility to work across timber, metal, and other materials without compromise. The 20mm capacity chuck with MT3 Morse taper spindle housing accepts taper shank drill bits, extending versatility beyond standard chuck work. A rack and pinion feed shaft with adjustable preset depth control makes repetitive drilling accurate and efficient. The spindle centre to column measures 216mm, with a maximum spindle-to-table distance of 495mm and spindle-to-base of 685mm, accommodating a wide range of workpiece sizes on the 520 x 320mm base. Safety is built in throughout: a no-voltage release switch prevents accidental restart after power loss, which meets the requirements for use in educational establishments and qualifies for insurance company approval in those settings. Drive belt access is mechanically blocked during operation. The GDM180B meets the Safety of Machinery (Safety) Directives 1992 and amendments. Please note this item is heavy additional assistance must be provided at the delivery point for safe unloading. An optional mortise attachment is available separately.
