The Draper 55517 D20 20V Brushless SDS+ Rotary Hammer Drill addresses this with a brushless motor that delivers up to 135Nm of torque and an impact rate of 0–4500bpm at 1.7J impact energy, making it capable of drilling up to 22mm in masonry, 28mm in wood, and 13mm in steel. The drill offers four operating functions — Drill, Hammer, Chisel, and Chisel Lock — covering the range of tasks encountered in building, renovation, and workshop environments. Variable speed control via the trigger allows the operator to match rotational output to material requirements, with a maximum no-load speed of 0–1400rpm. An adjustable side handle with depth rod and a 10mm standard chuck adaptor provide additional control and precision during use, while the integrated LED worklight illuminates the work area in low-light conditions. The tool weighs 2.2kg as a bare unit and operates on a D20 20V Li-ion battery. It is part of Draper's D20 interchangeable battery system, which allows a single battery to be used across any compatible tool within the D20 series. Batteries and chargers are sold separately. The drill is supplied as a bare tool only, without a carry case.
