Angle grinding tasks demand consistent power delivery and precise control, and the Draper 55478 D20 20V Brushless Angle Grinder is designed to meet both requirements in professional workshop and site environments. The brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes from the drivetrain, reducing mechanical wear and sustaining efficient power transfer across demanding applications. A no-load speed of 8,500 RPM drives a 115 mm disc with a 22.2 mm bore, accommodating standard angle grinder disc formats on an M14 spindle thread. Operator control is supported by a spindle lock for safe disc changes and a three-position side handle that allows the grinder to be held securely in left-handed, right-handed, or angled configurations to suit the task. The tool weighs 1.66 kg and is not supplied in a case. Power is provided by a D20 20V Li-ion battery, sold separately. The D20 interchangeable battery system allows the same battery or batteries to be used across any compatible tool in the Draper D20 series, reducing the cost and complexity of managing multiple platforms. A compatible charger is also available separately. The grinder is supplied as a bare tool only — contents are one D20 20V Brushless Grinder.
