The Draper 56404 is a 230V SDS+ rotary hammer drill delivering 5.0 joules of impact energy at up to 4,350 beats per minute, powered by a 1,500W motor running at a no-load speed of 880rpm. Three operating modes — drill, hammer drill, and chisel — give the user full flexibility across a wide range of applications, from precision drilling to breaking out material. A safety clutch protects the operator by disengaging drive if the bit binds unexpectedly, while the anti-vibration handle reduces transmitted vibration during prolonged use. The adjustable side handle allows the operator to adopt a secure two-handed grip suited to the task at hand. Drilling capacities are 32mm in masonry, 42mm in wood, and 13mm in steel, covering the most common site and workshop requirements. The tool is supplied in a carry case and includes an auxiliary side handle, a pointed chisel, a flat chisel, three drill bits, and a 2.2m cable fitted with a BS plug. The unit weighs 4.9kg and operates on a standard 230V supply.
