It is built to Motorola IR/EF specification, replacing original-equipment numbers from Clark, Prestolite, and Motorola across 37 Westerbeke marine generator applications. Manufactured to Motorola's internal-regulator, externally-fan-cooled (IR/EF) design standard, the 7497N delivers 51 amperes of output at 12 volts and accepts bi-directional rotation, making it straightforward to fit without needing to match pulley orientation to the engine. The groove pulley is included, and the unit arrives ready to install straight from the box.
