The material is 600-denier polyester over a polyurethane backing: waterproof and oil and mud resistant, keeping dirt, spills, wear and staining off the seat underneath — staining being the thing that shows first on a passenger bench that gets used irregularly. Overlocked seams hold the panel edges where the cover takes contact on entry and exit, and coverage is 360-degree, wrapping the bench rather than sitting on top of it.
Armrest access and seat adjusters both remain available with the covers fitted, and an armrest cover is included. Fitting requires no tools at all.
