This twin-cutting-edge approach produces a clean, smooth result on copper and aluminium cables up to 20 mm diameter (70 mm² cross-section), all achievable in one-hand operation. The precision-ground, hardened blades are supported by a favourable lever ratio and special blade geometry that keeps hand force requirements low, reducing operator fatigue during repetitive cutting tasks. An integrated pinch guard protects operators' fingers from being caught during use, while the adjustable bolted joint with a self-retaining screw ensures the tool can be maintained to a consistent cutting standard over time. The shears accept copper multi-stranded cable up to 70 mm² and 20 mm diameter, and are also rated for aluminium cables of the same capacity. AWG 2/0 conductors fall within the rated cutting range. It is important to note that these shears are not suitable for steel wire or hard drawn copper conductors.
