Workshop and roadside power loss can leave vehicles stranded, and the Draper 23779 12V Jump Starter is engineered to restore starting power quickly and safely. The unit delivers a 3,000A peak current and 1,200A crank current, making it suitable for petrol engines up to 10.0 litres and diesel engines up to 8.0 litres, as well as cars, light commercial vehicles, motorbikes, and boats. Safety is built into the design with a reverse polarity alarm and automatic circuit load protection, while an easy-to-read LED indicator display shows the charge state at a glance. Intelligent clamps and leads of 1,050mm length are included, with dedicated clamp holders on the rear of the unit providing tidy, secure storage when not in use. Powered by a dual lead acid battery configuration with a combined capacity of 2 x 22Ah, the jump starter also provides two 12V DC output sockets, enabling it to serve as a portable power source for 12V DC-powered devices. The unit accepts a 230V AC mains input and delivers a 12V/3A output via the included 1,900mm charging cable. Despite its capability, the unit remains portable, measuring 270 x 170 x 330mm and weighing 17.30kg, with a sturdy carry handle for ease of transport. A 230V mains charger is supplied in the box.
