Product Number: CSS-048
The CSS-048 Crankshaft Position Sensor is a direct-fit replacement unit designed to restore accurate crankshaft position signalling across a wide range of light commercial and passenger vehicles. Covering 146 verified applications spanning three manufacturers - Renault, Opel, and Vauxhall - across a production window of 1996 to 2009, this sensor is an ideal workshop solution for technicians servicing high-volume fleet models including Renault Clio II and Opel Arena variants.
As a crankshaft positioning sensor, this unit monitors rotational position and speed of the crankshaft and relays that data to the engine management system. Accurate crankshaft position data is fundamental to correct ignition timing and fuel injection control; a failed or degraded sensor commonly presents as misfiring, hard starting, or failure to start. The CSS-048 is engineered as a dependable OE-specification replacement to restore correct engine management operation.
The fitment range includes Opel Arena Box (TB, TF) 1.9 D F8Q600 and F8Q 606 (1998-08/2001), Opel Arena Combi (A97 and THB) 1.9 D F8Q 606 (1998-08/2001), Renault Clio II (BB_, CB_) 1.6 16V K4M 748 (from 09/1998), and Renault Clio II (BB_, CB_) 1.9 D (B/CB0J) F8Q 630 (02/2000-05/2001), among 146 applications in total. The full fitment list should be consulted to confirm suitability for a specific vehicle. The CSS-048 cross-references to 37 OE and aftermarket part numbers, including references from Delphi, Hella, Lucas, Metzger, Renault, Opel, and GM, among others.
