Product Number: CSS-070
The CSS-070 is a crankshaft positioning sensor (CSS) supplied for a broad range of BMW, Rover, MG, and Land Rover petrol applications spanning 1992 to 2010. With 178 verified fitments across four vehicle makes, it is designed to serve as a direct replacement for the original crankshaft position sensor, restoring accurate engine timing signal generation and supporting correct engine management operation.
Cross-referenced against 29 original equipment and aftermarket part numbers, the CSS-070 is validated against references from BMW, Rover, Land Rover, Hella, Febi Bilstein, Meyle, Vemo, Metzger, Fuel Parts, Siemens VDO, Meat & Doria, Quinton Hazell, ERA, and others. This breadth of cross-reference coverage provides workshop professionals with a reliable means of confirming suitability against existing parts catalogues and diagnostic records.
The sensor covers a wide range of BMW 3 Series variants including E36 and E46 body styles, with documented fitment to M43-family engines such as the M43B16, M43B18, M43164E3, M43B16(164E3), and M43B19TU. Fitment also extends to Rover, MG, and Land Rover applications where the corresponding OE reference is matched. Always verify the application and OE reference against the vehicle before ordering.
The CSS-070 is a new listing on the PartsForMachines platform. No master specification data is available at this time; fitment and cross-reference data as documented above should be used to confirm suitability.
