The Metrol SSBRK-6R-A is a Stainless Steel 316 external right-angle mounting bracket with 38mm fixing centres, carrying a 13mm ball stud. It fixes to the structure through its mounting holes and presents the ball stud for the strut's end fitting, locating the strut at the correct angle and centre; bolt it down first, then locate the strut on the stud. It accepts the matching fittings. Its outside-angle form mounts on the outer face of the corner, presenting the stud square to the strut. It is one of a range of mounting brackets that give a gas strut a fixing point on a frame or panel, and the right one matches the ball stud to the chosen fitting while sitting at the angle the layout needs. Typical applications include cabinet lids, access panels, inspection hatches, equipment covers, where the strut meets a flat face or an edge. Fit one bracket at each end of every strut, and use the opposite-hand version where the second mounting faces the other way. For a complete mounting, choose a ball joint or eye to suit the strut rod and fix the bracket to solid material that can carry the load. For your layout, a steel version is available as BRK-6R-A.
