Draper's 37658 blind rivets are constructed from aluminium with a steel mandrel, providing the characteristic combination of lightweight corrosion resistance from the aluminium body and the tensile strength of the steel setting pin during installation. Each tub contains approximately 1,200 rivets at the 4.0 x 10.2mm dimension, making this an economical bulk supply suited to production runs, bodywork repairs, or any application where a consistent stock of 4.0mm blind rivets is required. The same Draper rivet range is also available in 3.2mm (tubs of approx. 2,000) and 4.8mm (tubs of approx. 800) sizes to cover a spectrum of sheet thicknesses and load requirements. Installation requires a suitable 4.0mm blind rivet tool. Once the rivet body is seated in the pre-drilled hole and the tool draws the mandrel, the tail of the rivet expands against the blind face and the mandrel snaps, creating a permanent, flush fastening without requiring rear access.
