Mismatched thread standards can prevent PCL couplings and adaptors from fitting existing airline connections. The PCL HC9560 is an NPT converter with a 1/4 NPT male thread on one end and an Rp 1/4 female thread on the other, designed to allow PCL couplings and adaptors to be fitted to 1/4 NPT threads.
The converter bridges the gap between NPT (National Pipe Taper) and Rp (parallel internal) thread forms — the two standards that most commonly cause fitment issues in workshop and industrial compressed-air installations.
