A hose that weeps at the joint wastes fluid, invites grime and eventually strands the machine it serves.
Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGZ440BP adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 410-440mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
The bulk pack of 5 is the stores format for fleets, production and hire equipment running the same size across many machines. The clip itself is unchanged: heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel, EN9227 tested, plated after cutting so even the band's cut edges are coated - for domestic, automotive and industrial duty in non-corrosive conditions.
Also available - the 390-420mm size (HGZ420BP); the 430-460mm size (HGZ460BP).
The larger adjustment range per size means one JCS clip covers spans that would take two ordinary nut-and-bolt clamps.
JCS recommends letting the application decide - what the hose carries, the temperature and pressure it sees, and how corrosive the environment is - then matching the clip's adjustment range to the fitted hose diameter.

A. It adjusts between 410-440mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 410-440mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. The band is heavily electro zinc plated and passivated, tested to EN9227, and JCS plates the steel after cutting so the cut edges are coated too. It is intended for non-corrosive environments such as domestic and light industrial use - for wet, salty or chemical-exposed duty choose the Hi-Grip Stainless version.
A. JCS advises against zinc plated clips in marine conditions, where they can corrode or seize. For boats and other saltwater environments use Hi-Grip Stainless, which is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
