FAQs

A coupling only seals properly with an adaptor of a matching profile, so identify what is already on your air line before ordering. The page groups fittings by family, including PCL, PCL Airflow, PCL XF-Euro, Vertex, Euro and InstantAir, with Mini and 60 Series fittings also listed. Stay within one family when adding tools or hoses.

They are BSP thread codes. R is a tapered male thread and Rp is a parallel female thread, so 'Male Thread R 1/4' is a 1/4 inch BSP taper male. Threads on the page run mainly 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch. A BSP size is nominal: a 1/4 inch male thread measures about 13mm across.

Match the tailpiece to the inside diameter (i/d) of the hose, which is how the product names are written. Tailpieces here include 4.75mm (3/16), 6.35mm (1/4), 8mm, 9.5mm (3/8), 10mm and 13mm i/d. The tail should be a firm push fit in the bore and is then secured with a hose clip or ferrule.

Choose a length that reaches the job without strain and a bore to suit the tool's air demand. Hoses here include 5m x 5mm coiled, 10m x 8mm and 10m x 10mm, plus a 15m retractable reel with 10mm rubber hose. A wider bore loses less pressure over a long run, which matters for air-hungry tools. Several have 1/4 inch BSP ends.

They are push-fit pipe fittings for building a fixed air ring main around a workshop, not fittings for flexible hose. The page lists John Guest Speedfit and SharkBite parts, with pipe sizes including 15mm, 22mm and 28mm. Examples are straight connectors, an equal water trap tee, a ball valve and a 15mm three-drop air supply kit. Check the pipe outside diameter before choosing fittings.

Parts such as service kits, filters and blades are machine-specific, so match them to the model number on your compressor or air tool. Names often state the fit, for example an air saw blade pack that fits the SA346. For compressor oil, follow the grade in the machine's handbook: the page lists ISO VG 46 screw compressor oil and a fully synthetic ISO100 oil.

Compressor & Airline Spares

The way into compressor and air line spares runs four ways: by part type, by the filters on each leaf, by the number on the old part, or by machine brand. Brand-specific compressor spares sit under the Sealey, SIP, PCL and Draper sections, while the leaves here hold the cross brand ranges, more than 980 parts: couplings and sockets, adaptors and connectors, air line fittings, air hoses and reels, pressure switches, valves and gauges, and air tool and compressor parts. A fault often names the part. A compressor that runs but will not build pressure usually needs a non return valve or a head gasket. One that will not cut out at pressure points to the pressure switch. Pulsing at the tool traces to the unloader valve, and water spitting from the line calls for air treatment and a drained tank rather than a new hose. Most of the section is picked from the filters on each leaf. Couplings sort by Family, eight patterns including PCL, the longer British default, and Euro, the short continental type that never mixes with it, then by size across sixteen options and thread across four. Adaptors carry twenty-seven sizes and fifteen threads, air hose narrows by bore with eight and ten millimetre the common picks, and whip hoses and reels sit alongside by length. Part numbers work here too. Draper compressor internals carry the code from the machine's parts list, PCL service parts match the APP and APT air tool ranges by tool number, and either code typed into search finds the part directly. The air tool and compressor parts leaf sorts by type from valves, springs and O-rings to the PCBs behind modern compressors. The Compatible tab shows the machines a spare serves where that is held, and anything unresolved goes over WhatsApp 07754288583 with the machine model and a photo of the old part.
