Pneumatic wheels: cushioned ride over rough surfaces (cobbles, gravel yards, uneven workshop floors), reduced impact transmitted to the operator and the load. Drawback: tyres can puncture and require occasional inflation. Solid (puncture-proof) wheels: no puncture risk, no inflation maintenance, suited to use over rough or sharp-debris ground.
