A commercial wheel and tyre assembly is beyond what one person should lift, and a wheel removal trolley exists to take that weight instead. Capacity is chosen against the assembly rather than the wheel alone, since the tyre, and any fluid in it, is most of what is being handled.
The range runs 80kg at the light end through 500kg and 1.2 tonne to 1500kg, which spans a car wheel through to a truck assembly. The 80kg trolley suits a bay handling cars and vans; the 1500kg machines are built for commercial work where a wheel cannot be moved by hand at all. Sealey hold the W and WD ladders across that span with Clarke covering 1.2 tonne between them.
Width adjustment is the specification that decides whether the trolley takes the tyre section at all. A trolley set for a car tyre will not accept a wide commercial tyre, and one set wide will not grip a narrow one securely. The adjustment range matters as much as the capacity figure. Sykes and Laser wheel removal equipment runs alongside at the commercial end.
Lift type changes how the wheel gets onto the trolley. A quick lift mechanism raises it in one action for repeated work, and hydraulic lifting takes the effort out entirely on the heavier machines. The trolley then rolls the wheel away rather than it being carried. Questions go over WhatsApp on 07754288583 with the wheel.
