Two wiring standards are in use and they do not connect to each other. A 13-pin Euro plug and a 7-pin N-type plug are physically different, so a trailer wired to one will not plug into a vehicle wired to the other without a converter between them. A converter is the answer rather than rewiring either end, which would leave one of them non-standard.
Which standard a vehicle carries is set by how it was built and wired rather than by choice, so the socket on the vehicle is what has to be identified first. Converters are held both ways: 13-pin Euro to 7-pin N-type, and to N-type and S-type together.
Tow ball size is a separate fitment from the electrics and 50mm is the size held. A ball that fits the towing hitch and a ball that fits the bracket are the same question, but the bracket bolt pattern is not, so both are checked. Twin inlet plugs cover a trailer wired to draw from two circuits rather than one.
Locks and covers protect what is left on the vehicle. A tow ball lock stops a trailer being hitched to an unattended vehicle, and a cover keeps the ball clean so it does not mark clothing or transfer grease. Send the vehicle and the trailer to 07754288583 on WhatsApp. Mounting hardware and brackets are held alongside so the assembly is complete rather than partial.
