Chargers & Boosters is the place to start. It holds battery chargers and maintainers, mains starter/chargers, portable jump starters and booster packs, plus battery and alternator testers. A charger restores a battery over hours, while a jump starter or booster pack gives a short burst to crank an engine with a flat battery.
Match the charger voltage to the battery first: the page has 6/12V, 12V, 24V and 12/24V units. Then pick output current to suit battery size. Low outputs such as 1.1A, 4A and 6A suit small batteries and long-term maintaining, while 20A to 100A units charge large batteries faster or support a battery during workshop diagnostics.
A jump starter or booster pack has its own internal battery, so it is portable; one example here is a 12V emergency power pack rated at 900 peak amps. A starter/charger plugs into 230V mains, charges the battery and can also give a starting boost, with 12/24V models listed for cars and commercial vehicles.
An inverter, such as a Victron Phoenix or a Sealey 500W or 1000W unit, turns 12V or 24V battery power into mains AC. A Victron MultiPlus or Quattro also contains a battery charger, so it can recharge the batteries when mains or a generator is connected. Check the AC voltage too, as both 230V and 120V versions are listed.
A portable power station is a rechargeable battery unit, quiet and free of exhaust fumes; examples here include EcoFlow Delta and River models and Dellonda units from 300W to 3000W. Petrol generators, such as the 2200W and 3100W models or 2300W and 2800W inverter generators, run for as long as they are fuelled but must be used outdoors.
Yellow industrial connectors are the colour used for 110V site supplies, so they join 110V tools and leads to a site transformer. Site Power & Transformers lists 110V 16A plugs and sockets in 2P+E, IP44 form. Match the voltage, the 16A rating and the pin layout to your existing leads. A 230V 4 x 16A splitter box is also on the page.
