Product Number: CRT001
Leaking or slow inflation caused by valve core removal risks eye injury and lost components. The PCL CRT001 is a clip-on Valve Core Retracting Tool, designed to allow the operator to remove the valve core safely during inflation or deflation, eliminating the risk of eye injuries from flying valve cores. It accepts a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) Euro style clip-on connection.
Operation is straightforward. After removing the valve cap, the CRT001 is clipped onto the valve stem. The CRT stem is pushed in to engage the valve core, then rotated anti-clockwise to retract the core safely into the tool body, where it can be viewed as fully retracted. Upon completion of inflation or deflation, the valve core is refitted by pushing the CRT stem forward and rotating it clockwise.
The CRT001 is suited for use with tyre inflators including the MK4, ACCURA 1, AirForce II, QUBE, and D12. The tool is also available in a lock-on variant for different applications. PCL has manufactured precision workshop and compressed-air equipment in Sheffield since 1938 and is part of HORNGROUP.
