Tyre sealant is a liquid poured inside a tyre before it is used. It stays there, lining the inner wall, and when a thorn or a nail goes through it is carried into the hole by escaping air and plugs it from the inside. The puncture seals as it happens and the machine keeps working. On plant and agricultural machines that matters, because a puncture in a field or a quarry means recovery rather than a roadside change.
How much goes in is the whole question. Too little and the liquid cannot reach and fill the hole, so the tyre goes down anyway. Too much and it is money poured away, and enough weight in one place will throw the wheel out of balance. The right amount is fixed by how much air the tyre holds, so it changes with every tyre size on the yard.
That is what this tool answers. The amount runs from 0.05 litres in a small barrow wheel to 41.25 litres in a 63in earthmover tyre, which is over eight hundred times, and no chart in a van covers that spread. Give it the sealant type and the size printed on the sidewall and it returns the amount in litres for that exact tyre, across 1,710 sizes.
The rim alone will not give it. At 24in the answer runs from 2 litres to 24 litres across 152 tyre sizes, because a wide low tyre and a narrow tall one on the same rim hold nothing like the same air. Sidewalls carry the size as 14.00-20, 12.00R24, 14.00/80-20, 23.5-25 or 200x50 and all of those work.
