Transporting long lengths of copper, waste and other pipes on a van roof demands a secure, weatherproof solution that is quick to load and unload. The Van Vault S10520 Roof Tube 100 addresses that need with a 3-metre enclosure constructed from 1.5mm thick aluminium, offering a robust yet lightweight housing for vulnerable pipe stock. Dual-end loading allows pipes to be fed in or removed from either end, reducing handling time on site. The injection-moulded end cap incorporates a steel insert for added rigidity, and security is provided by two 40mm solid brass and stainless steel disc locks, each supplied with two keys. The tube holds up to 100 metres of 15mm copper pipe — equivalent to 34 lengths of 3 metres — and carries a maximum safe working load of 40kg. External dimensions measure 3159 x 150 x 150mm, while the internal cavity runs to 3030 x 126 x 90mm, keeping the overall footprint trim on the roof. The complete kit includes the roof tube body, an end cap, three small and three large fixing brackets, six M6 coach bolts in both 25mm and 55mm lengths, M6 Nyloc nuts, M6 washers, clamping washers and the two disc locks. Combined weight of the tube and fixings is 8.55kg.
