The KNIPEX 97 91 04 V02 Tool Case for Photovoltaics brings together a purpose-selected set of seven components to handle the complete MC4 solar cable connector workflow, from cable preparation through to finished crimped terminations. At the heart of the kit is the KNIPEX Crimp System Pliers 97 43 200, designed for exchangeable crimping dies and calibrated to a precise crimping pressure at the factory. The dedicated Crimping Die 97 49 71 for MC4 (Multi-Contact) solar cable connectors covers conductor cross-sections of 4.0 to 10.0 mm². A matching Locator 97 49 71 1 ensures correct die and connector positioning on every crimp cycle. The KNIPEX Precision Insulation Stripper 12 12 12 is supplied with adapted blades covering the same 4.0 to 10.0 mm² stripping capacity range, while the KNIPEX Cable Shears 95 16 165 handles copper cables up to 15 mm diameter and 50 mm² cross-section. A hexagonal service key for die changes is also included. All seven components — including the 97 49 66 2 accessory and the empty photovoltaics case 97 91 01 LE — are stored in a foam-insert tray with precision-cut recesses for each tool, die and locator. The outer case is shock-resistant plastic with exterior dimensions of 345 x 80 x 280 mm (W x H x D), making it a robust and portable solution for installation teams working across multiple sites.
