The Draper Storm Force® Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet responds in 3/10,000s, providing immediate protection as soon as welding begins. The helmet accommodates a wide range of welding and cutting processes, including TIG, MIG, arc welding, plasma cutting, and grinding. The shade level is adjustable across levels 9 to 13 for welding applications, with a fixed shade 4 for grinding, while sensitivity control and delay time are both adjustable via rotary dial and control knobs respectively. Two ARC sensors detect the arc reliably across the 92.5 x 42.5mm viewing area, giving clear visibility of the weld zone. Power is supplied by a combination of a replaceable 600mAh lithium-ion battery and a solar cell, reducing the risk of the helmet failing mid-task. The operating temperature range runs from -5°C to +55°C. The helmet weighs 440g and features an adjustable headband with a dial-knob mechanism to achieve a secure and comfortable fit.
