Electricians and engineers working on live circuits face the constant risk of flashover — a potentially lethal arc of current through an inadequately insulated screwdriver. The Draper Expert XP1000® VDE Interchangeable Blade Screwdriver Set (10 Piece) addresses this directly: the handle and blade sleeve are moulded in two pieces, allowing blades to be fitted deep into the handle and eliminating the risk of flashover during live electrical work. Each blade is manufactured from SVCM steel for added strength and engages via a press-in auto lock action with a straightforward release mechanism, enabling rapid blade changes without compromising the secure fit. The ergonomic bi-material soft-grip handle allows free spinning in the palm for fast screw tightening, whilst also facilitating full torque transfer when needed. An additional insulated precision screwdriver handle is included, extending the versatility of the set across a wider range of fastener sizes and access situations. Every blade is individually tested to 10,000V and the set is certified for use on live circuits of up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, manufactured and individually certified to EN 60900. The set contains four plain slot blades (3.0 x 100mm, 4.0 x 100mm, 5.5 x 100mm and 6.5 x 100mm), two cross slot blades (No.1 x 80mm and No.2 x 100mm), and two PZ TYPE blades (No.1 x 80mm and No.2 x 100mm) — compatible with Pozidriv®/Supadriv® fixing systems, which are registered trademarks of Trifast Plc. The complete set is supplied in a dedicated carrier for secure transportation and storage.
