The precision-machined pivot pins allow smooth one-handed operation with minimum play, ensuring controlled, accurate work on live installations. Wire stripping notches accommodate 1.5mm and 2.5mm conductors, covering the most common cable sizes encountered in professional electrical work. The two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle provides maximum grip and user comfort during extended use, whilst integral horns prevent accidental slipping onto live conductors. Tested to 10,000V, these pliers are certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, meeting the VDE insulation standard. Maximum cutting capacity is 2.0mm. The handle incorporates a tethered fixing solution designed to comply with Work at Height Regulations, making the tool suitable for elevated working environments. Compatible lanyard (Stock No. 82474) and wrist strap (Stock No. 03740) are available separately. Supplied as a single XP1000® VDE Side Cutter/Stripper, 160mm, Tethered.
