The Draper Expert XP1000® VDE Hi-Leverage Side Cutter is manufactured from premium steel forged in Germany, with induction-hardened jaws that deliver effortless, clean cutting and sustained long-term performance. The off-centred, precision-machined pivot pins are engineered to enable smooth one-handed operation with minimum play, while simultaneously increasing the ease of cutting harder wires. A two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle provides maximum grip and user comfort, and integrated horns prevent accidental slipping onto live conductors. Tested to 10,000V and certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, this side cutter meets the requirements for professional VDE-rated electrical work. Maximum cutting capacity is 2.0mm. Overall length is 180mm. The handle incorporates a tethered fixing solution designed to comply with Work at Height Regulations. A compatible lanyard (Stock No. 82474) and wrist strap (Stock No. 03740) are available separately. This tool carries a Lifetime Warranty and is supplied as a single unit.
