Working on live electrical systems demands tools that eliminate the risk of accidental short circuits, and the KNIPEX 98 62 02 Plastic Snipe Nose Pliers are engineered precisely for that environment. Tested to EN60900 for use on live conductors, these pliers are insulated to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, making them suitable for live line working at the voltage levels encountered in professional electrical installations. The pliers are manufactured entirely from plastic reinforced with glass fibre, providing the structural strength and durability required for demanding workshop and field applications whilst maintaining full electrical insulation throughout the tool body. This Class C construction also supports a rated operating range down to -40°C, extending their usefulness in cold or outdoor environments. The fully insulating design reduces the risk of short circuit, a critical consideration when working in switchgear, meter assemblies, and distribution panels. The 220mm long nose profile is especially well suited to the removal of fuses, meter assembly work, and blocking operations. The construction also makes these pliers excellent for use in chemically aggressive environments where metallic tools would be unsuitable. Soft grip handles are fitted to improve user comfort during extended use. Supplied individually as a single tool.
Professional Quality, tested to 10,000V and insulated to 1000V AC and 1500V DC for use in live line working. Manufactured from plastic, reinforced with glass-fibre for extra strength and durability. Especially useful for the removal of fuses, meter assembly, blocking and are also excellent for use in chemically aggressive environments. Fitted with soft grip handles for improved user comfort. Sold loose.
