The Draper 60224 Second Cut Half Round File is constructed from carbon chrome steel that has been hardened and tempered to deliver consistent cutting performance throughout its working life. A rust preventative finish is applied to the steel, and the file is additionally dipped in rust preventative oil to protect the surface during storage and use. The half round profile provides two distinct cutting faces in a single tool: the flat face for working flat or convex surfaces and the curved face for filing concave profiles, slots, and curved recesses. The second cut tooth pattern offers a medium-aggressive bite suited to general material removal and refining workpieces across a range of metals and materials. Manufactured in accordance with BS498, the recognised British Standard for files and rasps, this file measures 12 x 250mm. Each purchase contains one Second Cut Half Round File as described.
