Cutting accurate coarse threads in blind and through holes demands taps manufactured to close tolerances, and the Draper 83795 Coarse Hand Taps set is produced from high carbon steel with accurately cut threads to meet that requirement. The set is supplied as one of each tap type — a taper tap for starting the thread and a plug (bottoming) tap for completing threads to the base of blind holes — making it a practical pairing for general workshop thread cutting and repair tasks. The 3 mm tap size is paired with a thread pitch of 1.25 mm providing the correct coarse metric specification for this diameter. Both taps are presented on a display card keeping them organised and protected when not in use. This set is well suited to engineering workshops vehicle repair facilities and maintenance environments where hand tapping of metric coarse threads is a routine requirement. The inclusion of both a taper and a plug tap in a single pack means users have the correct tool for every stage of the tapping process without purchasing separately.
Manufactured from high carbon steel with accurately cut threads. Packed one of each, taper and plug, (bottoming) on display card.
