The polished finish aids corrosion resistance and makes the bar straightforward to wipe clean after use. A knurled ring around the body provides a positive grip when rotating by hand or when seating and removing the bar from the drive tool. Socket retention is handled by a spring-loaded ball bearing, which locks the socket securely onto the square drive tang and prevents unintended release during use.
