The SIP 04909 3" Diesel Water Pump is a surface-mounted water pump designed for outdoor use and in remote locations. Powered by a 6hp (4.4kW) EURO V 4-stroke single-cylinder OHV diesel engine, it is built for agricultural settings and construction sites where reliable, high-volume water transfer is essential — including draining farmland ditches and building foundations.
The pump delivers a high maximum flow rate of 1000 litres per minute alongside a maximum pumping head of 30 metres, providing effective water clearance across demanding site conditions. The diesel electric start system is supplied complete with a 12V battery, enabling independent operation without an external power source. A cast iron impeller ensures durability when handling high-capacity pumping applications, and the pump is suitable for dirty water use. A hose strainer with fixings is included to filter debris, accommodating particles up to 6mm in diameter.
Mobility across site is facilitated by a wheel-mounted open frame design with lift-up pull handles, making relocation straightforward without additional lifting equipment. The 3" (76mm) hose inlet and outlet, 3.5-litre fuel tank, maximum suction head of 8 metres, and maximum particle diameter of 6mm complete the technical specification.
For water transfer applications, the recommended hoses are sold separately: the SIP 3" 10mtr Suction Hose (07321) and the SIP 3" 10mtr Layflat Delivery Hose (07692).
