Corroded or carbon-fouled spark plug threads are a common obstacle during engine servicing, and attempting to force a plug through damaged threads risks costly head damage. The Sealey VS724 Spark Plug Thread Chaser is designed to clean corrosion and carbon build-up from 12mm spark plug threads (1.25mm pitch) and can also restore minor cross-threading damage. Its slim profile shank above the threads allows it to reach deep-seated plugs where a standard tool would not fit down into the head, making it particularly useful for recessed thread applications. The 3/8" square drive and maximum drive diameter of 18mm ensure compatibility with standard drive tools. Thread length is 20mm.
