The Draper 35884 Cylinder Leakage Kit is designed to accurately detect common engine faults including worn piston rings, worn valves, cracked cylinder heads, and blown head gaskets, making it an essential tool for professional workshops and serious home mechanics alike. The kit is compatible with both direct and indirect petrol engines that use 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, and 18 mm spark plug threads, covering a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles. Pressurised air is introduced into the cylinder via the included adaptors, and the twin-gauge display simultaneously indicates cylinder pressure across a range of 0–100 psi / 0–7 bar alongside the percentage of cylinder leakage, allowing the technician to quantify the severity of any fault at a glance. Both 63 mm diameter gauges are fitted with heavy-duty rubber protectors to guard against knocks and drops in a working workshop environment. The set includes a 600 mm flexible hose, a 1/4" BSP air coupler, and three adaptors to suit the supported thread sizes. All seven components are supplied in a plastic storage case for organised, protected storage between uses.
