Diagnosing electrical faults across a vehicle's systems demands a tool capable of both precision measurement and practical reach. The Draper 23820 Automotive Diagnostic Probe meets this requirement with a testing range of 6V to 30V, making it suitable for both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems including cars, light commercials, trailers and trucks. The probe features a full colour LCD display for clear reading of measured values alongside a built-in front LED torch to improve visibility in poorly lit engine bays and confined spaces. Pre-set modes cover DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance and diode testing, allowing vehicle components to be activated and assessed either in-situ or prior to installation. Power is supplied directly from the vehicle battery via the included clamps, or alternatively through a 12V DC adaptor connected to the auxiliary power socket. A 6m extension cable is supplied as standard, providing the reach needed when working on the rear of vehicles, trailers and trucks without repositioning the power source. The probe body measures 155 x 40 x 30mm and weighs 323g, with a probe length of 90mm and positive and negative leads of 400mm each. The complete kit includes a power adaptor with black and red leads and clamp, a 12V DC adaptor and the 6m extension cable, all supplied in a storage carry case for organised transport and safe keeping between uses.
