Alternator freewheel removal demands the correct tooling to avoid damage to the pulley, shaft, and surrounding components — an ill-matched tool risks rounding splines or stripping threads. The Draper Expert Alternator Pulley Tool Kit (SKU 31913) addresses this directly with a comprehensive 13-piece set designed specifically for removing alternator freewheels on popular European car marques, and is suitable for use either on or off the engine. The kit covers the full range of drive formats found across European alternator applications. Included are two M10 spline bits, one M8 spline bit, one M10 hex bit, and one M8 hex bit, providing the primary drive options for most freewheel configurations. TX-STAR® fasteners are represented by two Draper TX-STAR® bits — T40 and T50 — alongside a dedicated Draper TX-STAR® T50 specifically for Bosch alternators. Rounding out the set are a 10 mm female hex adaptor, two pulley connectors, one four-prong connector, and one hex slider, giving the technician the adaptors required to engage a range of pulley designs. All 13 pieces are supplied in a blow mould case with display sleeve, keeping components organised, protected, and readily identifiable in a busy workshop environment. The Expert quality designation reflects Draper's professional-grade tooling tier, making this kit appropriate for trade and workshop use.
Expert Quality, for removing alternator freewheels. The comprehensive kit can be used on popular European car marques either on or off the engine. Packed in blow mould case with display sleeve.
